Schools, Business closures and cancellations 10 November 2022

School districts, government agencies and businesses across the First Coast area are preparing for Nicole.
The storm is expected to sweep across the state of Florida after making landfall on the East Coast Wednesday.
Already, closures have been announced. Here’s a county-by-county list of school closures across North Florida and South Georgia.
Florida
**Wells Fargo branches located in Flagler, St. John’s, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and Baker counties will close Nov. 10
Baker County
Waste Management: Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
Clay County
Schools:
Schools and district offices will be closed Thursday and Friday
Waste management: Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
Columbia County
Columbia County school closed Thursday and Friday
The Third Judicial Circuit Court has closed all court operations Thursday
Duval County
**The airport remains open so long as airlines deem it safe to fly and continue operating. Check flight status with your airline
Yard waste and recyclables suspended Thursday and Friday.
Jacksonville Beach is prohibiting ocean swimming starting today.
JTA suspending service for the St. Johns River Ferry effective immediately through Thursday. Service resumes Friday.
Mayport Navy Base: MWR & CYP facilities will be closed Thursday and will remain closed until further notice.
Waste Management: Thursday customers will be serviced on Saturday, and Friday customers will be serviced as normal
Waste Management in Jacksonville Beach: Thursday garbage and yard waste customers will receive service on their next regularly scheduled collection day. Thursday recycling customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday
The Duval County Tax Collector’s Office will be closed Thursday
Events
The Jacksonville Fair will close Thursday until Friday
The Jacksonville Veterans Day Parade is cancelled
The K9s United Law Enforcement K9 Competition on Saturday at Bishop Kenn has been rescheduled to the following day at the same time
Businesses
Jax Federal Credit Union will be closing Thursday
IKEA Jacksonville will be closing all store operations Thursday
Schools:
Duval Schools closed Thursday due to storm, Friday due to holiday
All San Jose Schools will close Thursday and resume Monday. After-school activities are canceled from Wednesday through Sunday.
All Horizon Institute campuses will be closed Thursday and resume Monday.
Edward Waters University switching to a “real-time remote basis” for Thursday, and all in-person activities are canceled. EWU is also closed Friday because of Veterans Day.
Episcopal School of Jacksonville, all three campuses closed Thursday and will resume Friday.
The Bolles School has canceled classes for Thursday and will reopen Friday.
Trinity Christian Academy and all offices will be closed Thursday andVeterans Day.
University of North Florida, no classes or events Thursday. Will remain closed Friday due to holiday.
Classes and activities on all FSCJ campuses and centers are canceled Thursday, including online classes. All faculty and administrative offices will be closed Thursday. The college will remain closed on Friday.
Christ’s Church Academy will be closed on Thursday

Flagler County
Flagler County Parks and Recreation is closing all its dune walkovers and beach access points indefinitely
Schools
Classes and all campus or district activities for Thursday, November 10th, are canceled. Friday, November 11th, remains a holiday in observance of Veterans Day.
Putnam County
All schools in Putnam County will be closed on Thurs. Nov. 10.
The following shelters will be open for the community beginning Nov. 9 at 6PM:

Middleton-Burney Elementary School.
St. Johns County
Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas National Monuments will be closed Wednesday and until further notice.
The county has banned driving on the beach.
Yard waste, recyclables suspended for Thursday and Friday. Thursday customers will be serviced on Saturday, and Friday customers will be serviced as normal.
The St. Johns County Clerk of Court and Comptroller offices will close at noon Wednesday and remain closed on Thursday and Veterans Day.

Bradford County
Bradford schools closed Thursday due to storm and Friday due to holiday
Hope Christian Academy closed Thursday and Friday
Camden County Schools
All schools in Camden County all activities canceled for Thursday
The City of St. Marys, Georgia will be closed to the public on Thursday
Waste Management has suspended trash service for Thursday, November 10, 2022, and will make up trash pick-ups Friday and Saturday. If you are scheduled Thursday for trash service then expect Friday pick up and if you are scheduled Friday, expect Saturday service.
