Traffic delays expected around Abess Park Elementary on first day
(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.)
Sewer repairs around Abess Park Elementary School will cause delays on the first day of school for Duval County Public Schools students Monday.
Access to Abess Boulevard between Hickory Creek Boulevard West and Girvin Road will be closed until the repairs to a manhole in this area are complete.
There will be no direct access to the school from Girvin Road or the Home Depot access road.
Sidewalks will remain passable.
Public safety officers will be in the area to direct traffic.
JEA estimates the project will be finished in September, but this is subject to change.
