Capps Middle School closed Tuesday due to social media threat

According to Putnam City Schools Administration, they were made aware of a threat against Capps Middle School that was posted late Monday evening on social media.
The Chief Communications Officer of Putnam City Schools Jeff Bardach says after coordination with campus police and several law enforcement agencies overnight, the decision was made to close the middle school today.
Bardach says the decision to close the school was made out of an abundance of caution and that the safety of students and staff is their top priority.
All other Putnam City Schools will continue as normal.
