Brevard Public Schools, Eastern Florida cancel Wednesday classes ahead of Idalia
Brevard Public Schools will be closed Wednesday because of Hurricane Idalia.
The public schools join Eastern Florida State College and Catholic schools, which announced closing earlier Tuesday. The post added that classes and activities were set to resume on Thursday.
Prior to the announcement by Brevard Public Schools, Ascension Catholic Schools announced class cancelations last Monday night, saying campus would be closed on Wednesday with plans to reopen on Thursday, according to an email sent by school principal Claudia Stokes.
Stokes added that while classes will continue as usual Tuesday, after school care will be closed and there will be no after school activities.
