Alabama Closings and delays: Oct. 25, 2022

Bibb County Schools:
Bibb county schools will dismiss at 1:00 today. All after school activities are canceled.

Fayette County Schools:
Due to the threat of severe weather all Fayette County Schools will be dismissed at 11:30 today- Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Greene County Schools:
Due to the threat of inclement weather, Greene County Schools will dismiss at 12:00 pm, on October 25, 2022. The after-school program and all after-school activities are canceled. Please stay safe and weather-aware.

Jasper City Schools:
Due to the potential of severe weather, all Jasper City Schools will be closing today, October 25th at 12:00 p.m. Buses will also begin their routes at 12:00 p.m. All after school activities for today will be cancelled.

Pickens County Schools:
All Pickens County Schools will dismiss today at 11:45 a.m. due to predicted storms for this afternoon around regular dismissal time. Be safe and weather aware.

Tuscaloosa City Schools:
Elementary schools including Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools and the Alberta School of Performing Arts will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Middle schools will dismiss at noon. High Schools and STARS Academy will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. All after-school activities are cancelled.

Tuscaloosa County School System:
Tuscaloosa County School System is dismissing all students at 12:30 p.m.

Walker County Schools:
All Walker County Schools are dismissing at noon.

Shelton State Community College:
Due to the threat of severe weather predicted for the West Alabama area, Shelton State Community College will close on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 12:45 p.m. This closure includes both campuses. All activities scheduled after this time are canceled. Additional information will be provided via the College’s website, SSCC Alert, and social media as necessary.
